after that the Klinker is closing for a year. Here is a little bit about that:

Hello,

Been discussing the future of the Klinker with Hugh and we have decided to give the club a break for the whole of 2010.

We still have wonderful programmes booked for December starting tonight in Tottenham (& including Hugh's birthday on the 15th), programme attached, and are looking forward to these final 2009 events - your last chance to catch the Klinker for thirteen months...

As you may know we've been struggling on with a shoestring budget for some years now and we feel we need to sort out a more financially healthy basis on which to fund and promote events. We plan to use the break to investigate possible ways of doing this, including tying future events to the relaunch of the club's record label Klinker Zounds and looking into securing the support of some of the more adventurous arts and music funding bodies.

Thank you everyone who has supported the Klinker Club so far either by performing, helping out with the running, providing venues and equipment, providing publicity and information, or as importantly as anything - turning up, having a good time, and telling everyone else about it afterwards.
